Homegrown Leader Who Listens
Meet Jeff
Jeff Adelman has lived in Coral Springs since 1985, growing up in our local schools and dedicating his life to serving the community as a trusted attorney, volunteer, and civic leader. With a proven record of legal excellence, community engagement, and innovative leadership during times of crisis, Jeff brings both heart and experience to his campaign for City Commissioner, Seat 4.
Since 1985, Jeff Adelman has called Coral Springs home. As a proud resident, dedicated husband, father, and local attorney, Jeff’s life has been shaped by his deep connection to this community. A graduate of Hunt Elementary, Forest Glen Middle, and Coral Springs High, Jeff’s roots in Coral Springs run deep. Jeff is running for Coral Springs City Commissioner, Seat 4, because he believes in the power of local leadership to drive positive change. His vision for Coral Springs is clear: a city that remains safe, vibrant, and welcoming for families and future generations.
Jeff is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with over two decades of experience. He began his career working alongside his father at Adelman & Adelman, P.A., and in 2021, the firm merged with Brotman Nusbaum Ibrahim & Adelman. Highly respected by both clients and peers, Jeff has been consistently recognized with honors such as “Best Attorney in Coral Springs & Parkland,” and Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating. In addition to being a strong advocate for his clients, he also serves as a mediator, guiding parties toward resolution by fostering open communication and building the trust essential to a meaningful compromise.
However, Jeff’s leadership extends far beyond his own law practice. He served as President of the Ft. Lauderdale Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) during the COVID-19 pandemic. His ability to connect with people and lead during this emergency were on full display. During the pandemic, Jeff brought the legal community together in Broward and throughout Florida, working directly with judges and attorneys to keep the courts running through the teaching and use of virtual proceedings and innovative thinking. In Coral Springs, as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, he taught residents how to use Zoom to keep their businesses functioning, helping many who had never used virtual platforms before. His ongoing efforts to lead during challenging times along with his skills as a litigator resulted in him being named 2023 Lawyer of the Year by ABOTA. After his Fort Lauderdale term ended, he was invited to join the executive board of Statewide ABOTA (FLABOTA), serving as President during the 2023-24 term.
Jeff previously served six years on the Florida Bar Clients’ Security Fund, his last year as the Chair of the Committee. This committee provides monetary relief to victim clients of dishonest attorneys who stole their money. He currently serves on the Florida Bar Board Certification Committee and the Lawyers Advising Lawyers mentoring program.
Jeff is a committed community volunteer, mentor, and podcast host, engaging residents in meaningful civic conversations.
As City Commissioner, Jeff is committed to finding practical solutions to the issues that matter most to Coral Springs residents. From reducing traffic congestion and improving public safety to keeping taxes low, preserving green spaces, and maintaining the character of our community, Jeff will always put the needs of residents first.
Jeff’s lifelong connection to Coral Springs, professional expertise, and passion for public service make him uniquely qualified to serve as your City Commissioner. He is ready to listen to your concerns, lead with integrity, and deliver results for Coral Springs.
